Arts Scholarships

Art

Scholarship candidates must be applying to study art. Scholarship offers are made after a workshop day, where candidates discuss their portfolio and have an interview with the department. Scholars are awarded £250 per annum for the two senior years and are expected to participate fully in the artistic life of the school.

Drama

Scholarship candidates generally apply to study curricular drama, but those demonstrating a commitment to co-curricular drama are considered. Scholarships go to candidates who show outstanding potential as actors or directors after an audition, workshop and interview with the department. Scholars are awarded £250 per annum for the two senior years.

Music

Scholarships, currently the value of lessons in two instruments (£1,560 per annum), are awarded after an audition and interview with the department. Music exhibitions worth £780 per annum are also awarded at the Director of Music’s discretion. Grade 6/7 singers who demonstrate commitment to choral singing may also receive exhibitions.
